In this course student will learn the essential skills needed to start and manage a successful new business venture at the beginning. This course aims to provide students the fundamental knowledge of entrepreneurship, the roles of entrepreneurship and innovation to the development of economy and the lean philosophy applied in startup. The course also equips students with the common approaches and methods for starting a business, such as: Business canvas model, and Step-by-step customer development. At the end of the course, students can develop a marketing plan from their business ideas, and know how to pitch the business project.
This course includes 03 main parts:
Part 1: Introduction to basic concepts and theories of entrepreneurship: challenges in entrepreneurship and innovation; the differences between an entrepreneur and a manager, between an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur; and approaches to entrepreneurship research.
Part 2: Lean Startup: Business model canvas; Principles of Lean Startup; minimum viable product (MVP); Customer development (focus on Customer discovery and Customer validation)
Part 3: Build a marketing plan and make a pitch.
